Does anyone have an early, say 1900-1920's B & S catalog that is for sale or that I can borrow or that can be scanned? I am specifically looking for information on the products they made other than wrenches.
Mike
Mike,
Best resource I've found for old catalogs is the U.S. Library syndicated website for searching. It'll search all member libraries, which you can then contact and usually for a fee, they will scan them and send them to you. Here's a quick Billings & Spencer query..............a lot of cats pop up. http://www.worldcat.org/search?qt=worldcat_org_all&q=%22Billings+%26+Spencer%22
Thanks Todd, I wasn't aware that site existed, will book mark it for future reference.

I have an extensive collection of B&S literature. Let me know if you still need information.

Mike, I recently acquired an early (1907 I think?) B&S Cat. Let me know what info you need. It's 200 pages!
Todd and Dan,
The information I am looking for concerned the hand vise that had a bench mount. I believe they also made a bench mount that had a place for an anvil, probably a square one.
I would like to have any catalog cuts that show these. There is also a much smaller hand vise that may not have a bench mount, in fact probably doesn't.
See link for photos.

Got it mike. I'll take a look tomorrow at the shop and see what I can dig up.

Sorry Mike, no vises in this catalog, only clamps along with wrenches, sockets, etc.. However, the inside says it's the "culmination of 52 years of growth" so I'm thinking this catalog is from 1921. It's the "35th Edition."
Todd,
Thanks for taking the time to look!
