Here's a wrench that's had its entire existence in a purple velvet lined leather box.  See DATAMP entry for patent no. 1,275,855 ( http://www.datamp.org/patents/displayPatent.php?number=1275855&typeCode=0 ) for  some of the story.  The wrench is 8 inches long.
