I was looking at this wrench trying to decide if it was worth straightening. I took a look at Rathbones to see if it was a keeper and its looks like it is supposed to be curved??
Is that true???
Jim
Your wrench is in better shape than the one pictured in Rathbone but don't see a bend in the plane your wrench has. I would not straighten it.
Jimwrench (Dad),
Do you have this one? Looks like an IHC keeper which I know is right up your alley.
Jim
It was and is on my looking for list and is a keeper.
Consider it yours!
Jim
"Dust cap wrench for 1907-1912 International trucks" -- from Gil Irps' IHC tools book.
The one you found hanging in my basement is straight.
It should be straight and would be an easy fix.
Bus,
Would you heat it or bend it cold?
Jim
A little heat wouldn't hurt but I have straightened many malleable wrenches without heating. The only ones that broke already had a crack.
Thanks
