Title: GH Products wrench
Post by: jimwrench on September 01, 2015, 11:48:27 AM
Got this 25H3 wrench (GH Products of Kenosha,Wi.) at auction yesterday. Had the Tri-Clover 25h3 in the basement. Put the 4inch adjustables in photo to give size comparison. Does anyone know what the 25H3 denotes ? Auctioneer said I've got a big wrench for you. I thanked him and said its a milking machine wrench. He wanted to know what it fit on a milking machine but I feigned ignorance. I,m guessing it fits lid on top of milk container but only because don't think anything else on milk machine is that big.

It may be for the unions on the stainless steel piping used to convey the milk.

Don't forget the fittings for the bulk tank drain & hose connection to the big truck that hauled the milk away. Once the tank was empty the whole works had to be cleaned with scalding hot water & special dairy equipment "soap" before starting the cycle over again. 365 days a year, no time off & no vacations.
It is really depressing to drive through Wisconsin, and other former dairy areas & judge how long the dairies have been closed by how run down the buildings have become and whether there are still lot fences, etc.
I could still milk a cow by hand if any of today's cows would stand still for the experience.
