Hi Guys,
Trying to get some ideas what these two items are. Any ideas welcome!

Second one is a trapdoor latch for floor use.

What is the gizmo with the hook? on the right side of the Tool3 picture?

Yes, thanks for that. After looking up Trapdoor Latches I can see this must be one of this type of latch.
I think that my Picture (3) must be in the correct plane but actually upside down. The centre button must be pushed which raises the 'hook' up, off of a bar of some sort and when the door is shut the button must be pushed again to re-engage the clip over the bar?
