I have no idea what this thing is.  It has 3 black rollers.  two on the top and one of the very bottom.  There is also a handle in the middle that changes the direction of the top two rollers relative to the bottom roller.

Neither do I have any idea what that thing is. It doesn't look like a vintage or antique tool at all.

The photos are good but there are not enough good views.  Taking it out of the box would help.  What is written on the tag and what other markings are on it?
What is made of ? Plastic? Metal?

It is certainly not a vintage tool - the focus of this forum - but we like a challenge.

Some more info might help, imperial or metric fasteners,weight, length and width and what is written on it ?

what powers it I cant see any electrical,air or hydraulic fittings

In the second picture there are 2 red caps that are partially painted yellow. I think they are either pneumatic or hydraulic connection points. There are rotation labels on the handle side of the unit, one shows clockwise rotation and the other counter clockwise rotation. That said I don't understand what that translates to.

Some type of flow control valve for hyd. or pneumatic--do the top two black rollers remove?   Just a WAG!!!!

Thanks for the guess work.  It is all steel construction.  I don't believe the two top rollers come off and are the same as the bottom rollers.  I added more pictures.  One of them is a close up that shows this thing must attach to a drive shaft of some sort.  It kind of looks like the female connection to the PTO of a 3 point hitch on a tractor. 

So, yes the middle of it with the rotating handle looks like a gear box or a differential of some sort.  The handle probably "shifts" gears or changes the rotation direction of the rollers?  I don't have a way to connect the thing.  I'm just trying to figure out what this thing is!  Sorry for taking up time as this is not a vintage tool.  You guys came up on my Google search for unidentified tools.  Let me know if there is another forum that you would recommend?

Looks like a valve nozzle part for fire apparatus used up on a ladder truck.

I dont think fire hose valve or nozzle,   but hydraulic drive unit or transmission of some sort.  Think of all the hydraulic equipment parts.
