I'm thinking piano tuning tools, but I don't know.

are they carbon scrapers for automobile blocks and heads ???

Goodell Pratt made 3 carbon scrapers nearly identical to those.

ID confirmed. They are carbon scrapers, also called cylinder scrapers, used to remove carbon from the top cavity of an engine cylinder.

Something that, back in the days of inefficient engines and lower-quality gasoline, was a regular maintenance item, sometimes as much as every 1,000 miles of use.
