Title: Multi-Tool?

Hello, I found this unusual looking tool today. The only visible marks were H O on the flat of the long arm. Overall length when open is 6", and measures 4-1/8" closed. The middle piece looks like a screwdriver, the other small arm looks like a 2 pin spanner on one end, & a single pin spanner at 90° to the arm, plus a raised area with a curved groove. The round end pivots, not far, &  there are 2 1/16" diameter holes on the sides of the opening. Motorcycle tool kit? Thanks, Lou

I don't recognize it, but it may have been for servicing a military rifle of some sort. Combination tools were often part of the armorer's kit for machine guns and some service rifles.

Plyerman is on the right track. It appears to be an M3 combination tool as issued with the M1 Garand rifle. A fellow named Bill Ricca has a website  (Google William Ricca Surplus). On that site he has a page detailing and dating the variants of this tool.

Hello, Thanks for the info, you guys are the best. Bill Ricca identified this as an MA31 Combination Tool. The H O stands for the Holst Company. Thanks again, Lou
