I've had this several years, I have an idea of what it is but I'm not sure.

This is one end of the head.

And this is the other end.
Maybe an upholsterer's hammer.
Can't see an upholstery use for this hammer. I'm thinking it's a metal working hammer -- perhaps tinners, maybe auto body work, maybe for repouse work.
I'M GUESSING COPPERSMITHS HAMMER.
I had a cousin that was a rock hound, reminds me of the light weight hammer he carried. Was for chipping out samples and light digging on interesting rocks. Not for climbing, just pulling out rock samples.
Tinknocker's seam closer.
The one end has been modified someplace in the life of the hammer.
If this helps these were supposed to have come out of the same shop.

Big head.

Little head.
Coppersmith or tinners hammers, then, is the likeliest.
