One side reads UNIVERSAL inside a box with surrounding words I cant make out. The other side has three hares three ears mint mark stamped on it with made in USA underneath . I have never seen this logo on a tool before? any ideas on manufacturer. they are lightly rusty but very good condition. the blades are very nice not even a small chip.
I was referred to this site from garage Gazette to help figure out the age and manufacturer

it looks like rupp forge company was founded in 1914 and was in business until 2011 when their equipment was auctioned off.
