Picked up these pliers flea shoppin convinced there would be a snapon logo under the rust, but after a soaking and gradual gentle rubdown all i can uncover is an apparent model number; -84 03- or maybe -84-05-, the last number and middle hyphon are questionable. Havnt been able to turn anything up, I was thinkin maybe old blue point or gov contract. I have exhausted Alloy Artifacts and Collecting Snapon sights and have done numerous searches with the possible model numbers and come up squat. Any tips?(http://C:\Users\Guest\Pictures\snapon pliers.jpg)(http://[/C:\Users\Guest\Pictures\so pliers.jpgimg][imC:\Users\Guest\Pictures\so pliers model.jpgg])Also found this impressive pair, ive never seen a double flush, slip joint combination needle nose. These babies had to be one sweet pair of precision pliers, a step above the legendary snapon 137s, even snapons are only flush on one side. They are marked "Elliot Cutlery....germany". I have found current Elliot Lucas pliers of some European mfg. but it is very difficult to find any history on the European stuff. 84-055 is the part number for Stanley's slipjoint pliers....
Somewhat of a guess tho, modern ones come with pretty plastic handles....
