Hello, I am guessing this is a wire, or, thickness gauge, but I can't figure out the graduations. I've tried conversions, but I am unable to find a match. The tool is stamped ELTON, graduations taper from 0 to approx. 86, and the tool is approx. 4" long. . I grabbed the nearest drill bit, happened to be a Number 27, (.1440), and it reads on the scale at 68. I tried medical, musical, British, Sheet Metal, etc. , I may have missed something. Thanks, Lou

Hello, i did a little more digging, seems that Elton has a link to the guitar industry. I also found an ended listing on ebay, no pictures available, and this was referred to as a vintage gauge for guitar strings. The scale (graduations) must be for guitar string sizes? Thanks, Lou
