Hi Guys
Can anyone help me with this item I purchased at an auction, it says Ever Ready on the name tag but I don't know what it was used for and what would have been in the inside connected to the wires. my guess is a tester for light bulbs or batteries but that's just a stab in the dark. Hope you guys can shed some light on it pardon the pun.

2 things come to mind, a ringer to get someone's attention at a store or business.
The other is some phones like the candlestick type do not have ringers in them they use a remote bell box. Most of them I've seen have 2 bells, but they have been US made.

My thoughts also.

I am not sure of what it is. It does look like thoe at some point the wires inside were changed.

Thanks Guys
I never even gave it a thought that it was a butlers bell, I am going to have some fun with this as I have two kids or it might just be the other way around so dilemma hide it or keep it out, safe option its away.
