Hello everyone!
Just picked these up last week because they were too odd to pass up. I haven't been able to find any markings on them and they look to me to be sorta handmade? The small part on the end of the handles where the flat piece attaches looks like something a blacksmith would make. Take a look and see what you think.

too me they look like pliers you lead the cow or bull by the nose.
bull leading pliers (https://www.google.com/search?q=bull+leading+pliers&client=safari&rls=en&biw=1440&bih=731&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjOtvOl2-fMAhVkJcAKHRGIAckQ_AUIBygC)

I was talking to a couple guys when I picked these up and one of them said the same thing but they thought the end round sections seemed a bit thin and sharp. The other guy said maybe it was to pull horse teeth . I think the nose pliers is more likely! Thanks!

They don't look big enough or sharp enough for sugar nippers.

Wasn't there a 3 Stooges episode where Moe lead Curly around with a pair of those.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I think I'll tell everyone they are used to lead stooges!
