Title: Auto-Skate
Post by: lptools on June 30, 2016, 05:45:04 PM: Hello, I am trying to track down any info on the company that made this. It is an Automobile Wheel Dolly, most likely used in pairs, or fours, I only found one. The label reads AUTO-SKATE EQUIPPED WITH TORRINGTON NEEDLE ROLLER BEARINGS AUTO-SKATE CORPORATION OF AMERICA BROOKLYN, 29 N.Y. Patents Pending U.S.A. & Foreign Countries. Should I have put this in the Classic Auto Forum? Thanks, Lou

I am a Studebaker collector and they rolled out the Zip Van in 1963 for the Post Office. This coincided with the introduction of Zip Codes and the side panels of the vans had posters of Mr. Zip touting the use of them.
