Title: Samson DOE wrench
Post by: RedVise on July 11, 2016, 07:31:36 AM
Picked this up for a friend... named Samson !  Thought I would share with you.

Looks like an Auto Kit style wrench with the hole in the center.
Small for a 5/8 x 3/4.
Nothing on Alloy Artifacts, and previous threads here have all been about adjustable wrenches.

I am guessing the 5/8 & 3/4 markings are bolt sizes, to fit the nut of a 5/8 0r 3/4 bolt.

Brian, does it have a number 25 stamped on it?  https://books.google.com/books?id=O5c7AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA858&dq=%22Samson+Tool+Co%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwitzeD2y-vNAhVDMyYKHcXvA8AQ6AEIHDAA#v=onepage&q=%22Samson%20Tool%20Co%22&f=false

Scroll up a couple of pages to see a photo of Edward C. Simmons of Keen Kutter fame.

Nope, back side has no markings, I do not see a 25 mark on it.

Nope ! I am giving the wrench to my friend Samson and sending him the link for the rest of the set. It's on him !
Actually I gave him a set of carpenters pliers a while ago, also marked Samson.

Thanks Mike !
