I have a was curious if there is a good resource for identifying markings
I have an old pair of MASSEY HARRIS pliers virtually identical to this one with the screw driver on one of the legs etc, but this one seems to have a different maker mark. I don't recognize this mark on the handle...any idea who made this one?

First thought was Kraeuter , but not so.
-
Makers Mark? I was hoping against hope that the post was going to be about bourbon!
-
Yup, Makers Mark is made just an hour and a half down the road from me.
-
McKaig-Hatch manufactured pliers like this.
-
mdtools, does your pliers only have M-H ?
or is Massey- Harris spelled out ?
yours may be a McKaig-Hatch as posted by Yadda

no it just has that weird logo in the second picture with a dot above and below. I was just hoping that somebody might recognize it.
-
no, I was asking about your Massey Harris pliers.
-
just the MH logo

Could it be Kanji? (Japanese writing) There are a few symbols that look like that, the names of which I don't know so I can't pull them all up... but here's one...
