Hello, All. At the top is what I am guessing to be some sort of lineman's tool/clamp? Next is a pliers, closes to 5/16" hole, re-loading? sinkers?. Next is a rosewood handle, with an 8-jaw chuck, Piano Tuning Hammer/Wrench handle?( I have only seen fixed versions). Next is some sort of pick-up tool, very well made and does not close all the way. Last is some sort of adjustable clamp? All but the lineman's clamp came from same owner, from what I gathered, he did watch repair, radio repair, among many other interests. Thanks, Lou

The little gripper/pick up tool reminds me of a sugar cube pick up tool I have seen advertised in the past. To pick up a cube of sugar for your cup of tea.
-
Heres a similar gripper that I had tagged as patented ice cube tongs. No patent number on tongs and I don't remember how I found patent. Seems like I had a second slightly different tong that I identified as sugar tongs. Let someone talk me out of the sugar tongs so can't compare.
-
Hello, I did a little checking, most of the ones used for sugar were 3-prong. I believe they are also referred to as sugar cube tongs, sugar cube claws, or sugar cube pincers. Thanks, Lou

The wood handled thing looks like a pin vise. Does that hole that goes all the way thru the handle?
-
Kind of a big hole for a pin vise. I assumed it was one of those handles for various tools, missing the tools.

You may be right. Pin vise was the first thing that came to me. It could also be a needle file handle.
-
How big is the hole in the jaws? Marking chalk holder or marking crayon holder?
-
Could also be missing a collet that goes in that hole.
-
If it was mine, I would make some cutting tips and use it as a detachable lathe tool handle.

That is what I was thinking

the bottom item looks like it could be used to stop the flow on small rubber or plastic tubing .while making parts or inline filter change ????
with the sliding bottom, it would be easy to attach.

Hello, The hole diameter with the chuck tightened is 3/8" . The hole in the handle is just shy of the full length of the handle. Thanks, Lou

Hello, I dug out an old catalog, Hammacher Schlemmer & Co. , and it shows a piano tuning hammer with a Patent Date of October 3rd, 1899. Patent number 634016, looks similar to the one I have here. Thanks again, Lou
