Title: PIPE CLAMPS ? Alignment tool ?

Hello All -
Please take a quick look at these two devices I found in a garage I am cleaning out - not sure what exactly they do and sure do want to know -

1. colored orange - can adjust the distance between th etwo main rings by turning the small ring ( broomstick handle fits in there ?? ) stamped in the plastic it says {1-3/8" - 2" PATS. PEND }
2. Similar tool / hangar in white / without adjustable part as in part number one

Welcome to Tool Talk!
We focus on vintage tools here, almost no plastic items, except possibly in screwdriver handles.

In any case, I have no idea what you have there.

yup, mine is yellow ,  tho years ago I had a real metal one
