Anyone recognize this cast iron handle? Can't it off a box of woodworking tools. I feel like I've seen it before but can't place the top that I've seen it with. Can anyone tell me?

It looks like a file handle. No clue who made it. I had a couple and they weren't marked either.

+1 on the file handle, and you're in luck: it's still got the clamp on it!
I've somehow managed to acquire two, and they're quite handy for files you use only now and again. It takes a few seconds to mount the handle, and it grips firmly.

Hello, I have a few of those, some with clamp, some without. 2 are stamped SIR-ALL syracuse, NY, my hometown. I was never able to find any info on that company . E C Stearns , also from Syracuse, made a similar file handle, and Millers Falls lists one as a No 448 File Handle. Regards, Lou

I have a no name one missing the clamp. I figure when I'm not looking for one it will pop up.

No, you'll find two clamps, and then you'll be watching for another handle with no clamp.

I have a pair that take a set screw. The screw off a plane fits them.

Bill, your probably right things come in bunches!
I had cast some various brass wing nut / bolts, but I'm out of them. Funny the other guys in the casting class laughed cause "wing nuts" are cheap. Not those mickey mouse eared ones are not. Getting closer to be casting again. Last 3 days have been burying new wire to the buildings. today was pulling all the old obsolete wiring out and started running new ones. Replacing much of the wiring in another building also, I bought the wire years ago when it was cheap!
