Hi guys,
You who know me realize I'm an Aussie. Today I visited a small museum in outback Australia.
I saw this tool with a notice attached, thought of you guys. Sorry the picture is not good as the tool was in a cabinet with a glass top, and no I could not see any makers logo.
Still perhaps you may have some idea. This is a wheat growing and sheep farming area.

My guess would be a type of shoe button or hook fastener.
-
Could it be for twisting safety wire?
-
thats kinda a poor job of safety wiring….. that i learnt working on hueys. Maybe its some other application? just wondering?
-
Might it be an ear tag tool.
-
saw set?
-
Awfully large jaw? Looks like a crimper, or seal stamp? Not seen the likes.
-
I can make out what looks like VS H03 on the handle. Not sure if there is anything else and the H may be something else.

darn ozzies, always bringing us problems :) !!!! I've made three good "friends" over there who buy tools from me regularly. I guess you folks are ok, afterall:) One promised me I could live in his house for free if Trump got elected.... as long as I brought all of my tools with me!
cheers

Well I'm pleased we are OK Bird
Now I emailed the museum where I photographed this for more information. They took it out the cabinet for me.
It is stamped with what looks like a 1 and SGR 054, 054 is repeated on the other handle as well.. Perhaps this helps?
Batz.....Hello Bird.
