Dzeigler3's thread reminded me of a little mystery plier tool of my own. It is only about 3-1/2" long, with a tiny hammer on the one side. There are no markings on it. I thought it was possibly for jewelers, but then why would a jeweler need the big screwdriver at the end of the handle?
Any other ideas about who this tool was intended for?

Tiny cobblers pliers? Similar , maybe for the elves who fix shoes at night? Or a pair of farriers pliers made by the smith for his young son?

For pulling little people's teeth ?

that little bugger would have followed me home if I saw it.
I could picture an old cobbler having that in his apron pocket for a quick repair on heels.
he could start prying the heel off with it and also pull out the heel nails.

Does look like a cobblers tool, could it be for a doll shoe maker or repair? or just a miniature tool to go with a jr cobbler set like this. It's cast iron could work with dolls but most likely for a kid to play a cobbler at home?

Your collection never fails to amaze Bob! Neat find. The screwdriver is oversized for the rest of the tool. If it weren't so symmetrical, I would guess it was hand made.
My first guess is cobbler's tool, but it is also similar to upholstery tools....

I posted this earlier in the blasting plier discussion. On eBay Germany they are calling these "Sprengmeister" - demolition expert - tools from WWI and WWII. Mine is most likely post war era.
Your tool is essentially the same, but smaller and no hatchet. Maybe yours is the real thing - a genuine war tool?

on Plyerman's tool, I was leaning towards the handle being for prying, as it looks like it is curved, using a bent
screwdriver would not be comfortable.
just an idea.

I have not seen any in pliers form before, but I am going to cast my vote for cigar box hammer/tool, based mostly on the small size and tools on it.
