Title: another oddball
Post by: Edkat3 on April 07, 2017, 03:31:19 PM
Found this on the bottom of an old tool box. Not sure what is was made for. The cone ends are made exactly like a finish nail punch. They cones are different sizes, one end is smaller than the other. Thanks.

Spring nail set, hold the one end against the nail head and pull the other end back and let it go. No hammer required.

I had some of those for several years, but never tried one out.  I did a bunch of trim this winter, and they work great.  They are particularly nice for getting in corners and odd places.  I do not ever plan on using regular nail sets again for most trim work.  They are kind of loud, so I wear ear protection when I use them.
