Picked this little beauty up at the local car boot sale this weekend. I know it a guillotine, but what is it designed to cut up ? I think it may have been used for chopping up lead prior melting for use in the printing industry many years ago.

sure its for cutting?
blades seem a bit dull
might be a squeezer instead
either way it's really cool!
-
Definately not a squeezer - the blades are offset like a proper guillotine
-
Tile cutter as per the 1928 catalog.
-
I'm afraid, if I used it, the tiles would be reduced to a little pile of clay chips. Nifty find.
-
I'd like to see a video of it in action!
-
Likely good for nipping, making corners and such.
-
now he has to find that wrench that is in the ad.
-
Fantastic - A tile cutter I would have never guessed that. Only this mystery unbranded plane to get now !
