Wow, that thing is sweet! I ran a big LeBlond for several years, but it wasn't THAT big. She looks like a beauty. And so long! Was it a real bear to get her leveled?

That's amazing.  The issues I have with my old Atlas now seem trivial.  BUT... if that's a miniature watch repair lathe, we want to see the full size watch repair lathe!

Nice lathe, and brand new to boot!  I like the building, nice classic bow wood trusses, likely of WWII vintage.

My work has a few large lathes in conventional, vertical turret an a facing lathe. Today we did a 17' shaft, for the oil/gas industry.

Big lathes can be deceiving sometimes. Your lathe may have a swing over bed of x but your not able to use every inch between centers an over bed all at once.

Reguardless not many industries use lathes like this anymore. There truly amazing, especially considering the age.

I know a guy who bought a bunch of tools from a fabrication shop in WV that was going out of business a few years ago.  They could not get anyone to take their lathes that were that size, so they went to the scrapyard.
