Another inherited tool find in hollowed out wood handle. I guess this is a pocket level?? LEA MFG CO. PAT Pending. it's exactly 2-3/16 inches long. Besides my best efforts I'm unable to find anything about LEA. Anyone heard of them?

Here's a level patent by Langdon Lea of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. Looks an awful lot like yours:

if you google; lea mfg. co. level, you will see a few that sold on ebay.

sorry, not rare.

Thanks Plyerman that patent appears to nail it and the LEA connection as well. Turnnut I also found these for sale on the internet. It's not that I think it's rare but I'm just curious of the time period. I guess from the patent date these were produced in the late 1920's. Still strange I can find nothing about the company.
