Title: Plomb Pebble Wrench with One Smooth Side
Post by: wvtools on October 05, 2017, 07:43:01 PM: I am sorry that I have not taken pictures yet, but I picked up a Plomb pebble DOE wrench with one side pebble and the other side smooth. Does anyone know if this variation is common or is it something that came home in a lunchbox?

Certainly die halves would be kept together. A mix-up seems highly unlikely.
There doesn't seem to be a reason why the pebble finish would have been tried out on one side only.

I wonder as well if this was some sort of lunch-pail special.

Has the wrench been plated as if it had been fully finished?
