A cigar box hammer I think.
i didn't know there was such a thing. thanks.

Search ebay for "cigar box hammer", lots of them on there. I saw a collection of them once at a tool show.

Hello,, I have sold a few cigar hammers before, or, cigar box cutters, most carried a label from a cigar company. The rounded end would be the cutter for the seal on the box , and I believe there was a small nail or 2 that helped fasten the lid to the rest of the box. Crane was indeed a Cigar Company, and the House of Crane were Cigar Importers. This may give you a lead on research, and a lot of this is from memory, so my info may not be 100% :-) Regards, Lou
