I have this tool that I need to ID so it can be sold properly. No maker's marks that I can find.

Hello, Papaw. I may have found it. Page 94 of The Hammer The King of Tools. Snowball, or Snowknocker's Hammer. I will try to take a picture of the page. Regards, Lou

That is it thanks !

Pretty interesting device. I can't imagine it was fun, stopping in 20 degree weather to clean the snow from your horse's hoof.
-
Also left hand piece in #794 in ""Antique & Unusual Wrenches" -- so maybe it worked with some brand of horseshoe calks?
-
Yes,has a caulk wrench on it.
-
Papaw,
I have that hammers twin brother. Always wondered what it was for.

And now you know - I bet it's a great relief, knowing how easy it will be to clean the snow of your horse's hoofs now, when you get heavy snows down there in southern California.
I hope you've escaped the fires - can't tell from the internet if they're burning in your area. Sure has been a horrible fire year.

Has it sold yet?
