Post by: amertrac on November 05, 2011, 10:19:35 AM
did anyone else get the notice from pay pal about holding your money for up to23 days when you sell ? I have a perfect record on feed backs, I ship as fast as i can I describe the item as best as I can.i do not sell junk unless i say so ( sometimes i gather some stuff and sell it as a lot but i tell what it is. I still get a notice that the money can not be used  immediately . what happened to sell mow get paid now . I wonder if you state to send monies in form of gift would that make a difference.   bob w.

I checked my Paypal account and haven't received any message like that. Be sure that isn't a scam wanting your Paypal info.
It may be a notice that an Echeck sent to you will be held up.

I've been getting a paypal pop-up for a few months now, saying they want me to accept some new electronic policy thing. I can opt out for now, but come Jan 12, 2012, my account will be frozen until I accept. Wondering what all it's about.

Be cautious. Only trust messages from PayPal if you find them while logged in to your account. I haven't seen either of those yet.

Like Noel said if you get a message from e-bay, paypal, craiglist whatever log onto the official site before you even open the mail. If the site does not have this message than it is some scumbag fishing for your info

Received the same email message, logged onto Paypal and found below message.

From now on, money you receive will be temporarily held in a pending balance.

As I sell infrequently on ebay, I have run into this before.

Papal is the reason I quit ebay.

Ditto..........In Oct 08 eBay decided that paper exchange [checks & MO's] wasn't safe anymore so you had to accept Paypal.
After 6 years as a sell I never had a problem accepting 'paper'.

I know.  I bought heavily but no more.  Too much control.
