I think it says 1863/3 on the side and on the other side it says STEEL Its about 10" long.

Yes I think you could be correct looks like its 186B/3

The spider came with the vice free of charge. but know it hasnt got a leg to stand on !

Can't really tell if it had a swivel base? Looks husky enough for daily use.
