1st thought was a guide from a moulding plane like a #45 or #55 Stanley.

A useful enough tool that Lee Valley is making a new version, although I prefer your design (I have a similar pair) over Lee Valley's offering.

I've been grinding up kitty litter for my "claying" of the forge pot, and with a keen kutter grinder too!

Sold as oil dry too, so it has no perfume.
