They're about 6" long... A point on one end, a large eye on the other... One has the letters "ALB", and appears it was hammered on, probably to drive the point into something...
Not sure of the proper name ,but they are driven into logs on the water, used by loggers to contain a boom of logs and by log salvagers on the ocean to tow drifting logs or to corral any loose logs that have broken out of a log boom. A common thing on any coastal or inland waters where logs are boomed and towed to a sawmill or pulp mill.
