Does anyone recognize this tool - top left in photo - I saw at least two others at the Alexander Steam Show.
The top part is solid flat metal, the bottom part has a slot in it. There are no markings.
Thanks
Al

I would think automotive, too, but I'm not sure what. Forced to speculate, I'd lean toward the installation of fasteners on interior trim panels.
If you could find a K-D catalog from, say, the 1960s or 70s, you could wander through to look for something similar.

I think this is correct, for Packard I believe.

Packard? No wonder you see them at every yard sale, then!
It was quite a loss when we lost Packard. I've always really liked their 1950 model:

I have a 1973 K-D catalog. They are No. 362 condenser spring compressor pliers.
Briggs and Stratton condenser, must be pretty small.
looks like a real fiddly job too
Thanks! I'll put that in the small engine drawer.
