Picked this up at an auction for $2, everyone else there were contractors looking for usable tools. It came with the original case, tools and paperwork.
Picked this up last year, about half way through the restoration on it.
Do you think you can find a 6 1/2" blade? I've never had the need for one but I don't recall ever seeing them.
Nice find even if you don't find a blade.
Hello, Papadan. Nice find on the saw, I am sure your restoration will look great!!! Regards, Lou
Wow, that's amazing, plus it came with all the accessories. Good find, and score.
Sweet buy!
I have one of them I bought back in the 1970's blades were easy to find then. Still have it stashed under the woodworking bench somewhere.
McMaster Carr still carries 6 1/2 inch blades so you can probably find them other places too.
Just after I bought this saw, I ordered a new blade from sears for it. I wanted one with the Craftsman name on it.
That is a huge score for the money. Do it run?
My late uncle had one of these. My aunt offered it to me and I am mulling it over. I really didn't have room that day as i got his old Polish machinist vise that day. It is a massive vise and in beautiful condition.
My late uncle was a true inspiration to me and I would love to have another piece to remember him by.
This saw is in ok condition, needs a little TLC and a cord. If you look closely on the nameplate it is from 1951.
Hello, That looks like a good one. I like the wrap around baseplate, too!! Regards, Lou
