Here is a little tool kit given out by Albany Felt Company as a complimentary gift. For those of you who may have never worked in a paper mill, the wet felt is used to pick up the wet pulp from a Foudrinier wire screen after suction boxes have removed much of the water from the fiber, The wet felt then transfers the still-wet pulp to a Yankee Dryer, or the first dryer, in the dryer section. Paper making was a big business in Northeastern NY State 60 years ago. The tool kit was found in a jumble shop near the site of the old Scott Paper Mill in nearby Delaware County, PA.
The ratchet is stamped: " Made in U.S.A. PAT. PEND. RATCHET SOCKETOOL" The box has the following message written on it:
