Title: Chaplins Patent Block Plane
Post by: lptools on January 13, 2019, 04:46:09 PM
Hello, I am looking for info on this plane. I know that it is a Chaplin's Patent Block Plane. I dug through what books that I have, but could not find a Model Number. This has a fixed throat, with a corrugated top casting, and a smooth sole. Also has the cutout cap. Knob missing, everything else seems to be correct. Sole measures  1-29/32" x 6-1/2". Thanks, Lou

Hi Lou, if you have a Tower & Lyon catalog, look in there. I’m at Flywheelers or I would have looked.

Hello, Bill. Thanks for the link!! I don't have the plane in front of me, but it looks like I have a No. 15. I have printed out the information for future reference. Very interesting site, with a lot of details!!! Regards, Lou
