Hi, all what is the best impact gun for the money?
Good question and all i have are questions... (not much help, sorry)
(1) you talking battery, air, or plug-in electric?
(2) you talking 1/4" driver or regular size anvil driver?
(3) you talking about powder or gas driven ?
In my experience air powered is best as long as you have a good compressor.
My son, however, uses a battery powered one he swears by.
Tell us what you will be using it for and what size you think you may need and we may be able to help you out.
Hello, I use a Cordless Impact, mostly for remodeling/construction work, more than adequate power. Some of the cordless units out there with a sales pitch to auto mechanics are very powerful, but pricey. If you are a wrench/repair shop guy, I agree with the others, pneumatic is the way to go!! Good luck, Lou
Without knowing what you want to do..... I use an 18v Makita impact driver for small mechanic type jobs and lag bolts in building. My health isn't getting any better so I bought a Chicago Electric 1/2" electric impact wrench for when I need to work on brakes or change a wheel. Harbor Freight, about $40. I would not recommend this one for someone to work with, but for homeowner jobs it does really good.
