Any time one gets to talk tools , it's interesting. Since my first tools now rate as vintage, it's even old tools. I came over here to read JimC post on Craftsman teardrop ratchets. Of course mine doesn't really fit, chuckle.
I'm a retired millwright, so I've used tools to make my living. Even before I picked up a trade, in fact, I bought tools with my first pay cheque .

Hello and welcome from British Columbia.
When you say from BC do you mean British Columbia? and if so where do you call home. I live in Prince George.
I'm in Abbotsford, in the Fraser Valley, but I spent 10 years three hours north of you, left in '86.
I'm guessing Chetwynd or maybe Dawson Creek. I spent close to a year in Chetwynd back in 1980, I was one of the crew building West Fraser sawmill.
I was millwrighting at Canfor then. I walked in and applied as a carpenter/millwright. They hired me as a millwright, that was my start pulling wrenches.
Glad to have to you here with us. Hope you stay and share some tools (well, pictures ).
Hi, and a warm welcome from sunny Florida.
