The guy just kept bringing stuff out, what else could I do? :cheesy:
What is the wooden handled brackety thing hanging on the box's lid?
I was hoping someone would ask!! I have no idea. I will put photos in the What's It Forum!!
I would be happy to find one or two of the nicer chisels at a sale.
Hello, yadda. There were no chisels on the tables when I got there. I asked the owner if he had any woodworking planes, or, chisels, and he came out with 2 handfuls of chisels!!!

And what a lovely bunch of chisels. Are some of those Japanese? Also the big one top left, what brand?
Hello, yadda. Most of the chisels are old USA labels, Stanley, Craftsman, Karpenter. Also Sweden, Germany, England!!!. There is a really neat one I have never seen before, "Your Money's Worth Made in USA" , stamped on the socket!!. I haven't cleaned the crud off of the one you asked about, but I will give it a try tomorrow!!
What's that just above the cleaver blade?
Hello, Bill. That is half of a Stanley 49 Bit Gauge, I looked all over for the rest of it, but no luck. So, for now, it is a Stanley 24-1/2 :cheesy:
