Hi guys from across the pond, do you think this tiny saw is a Disston ?

Unsure, but in the medallion center, looks British, like a crown?
-
I can make out the bottom word on the medallion, says superior but the rest is to worn out to read. I don't think it's a crown but it does look British.
-
"Warranted Superior" was used on a lot of saw medallions by various companies. Here is a good Disston resource.

Hello, Ric. Any chance you could turn taht photo 180 degrees? Thanks, Lou
-
I will turn it 180 degrees and re post. Also yes the button does only say warranted superior however I thought the handle did look quiet Disston like ?
-
Hello, Ric. isn't there lettering in the ribbon under the crown?
-
I would expect a Disston of the period from which that handle dates to have the Disston (Disston and Son
, some such variation) stamp centered on the spine on the left side.
-
I thought the object on the right side of the medallion was a unicorn, so I googled that and warranted superior saw medallions. I have copied the URL to an extensive discussion on the design and origin. The bottom line is that is it British made.

Yes there is, however its to worn to read, it looks as if its a motto in latin, probably translates to "measure twice cut once"
