Title: Completely Stumped
Post by: Harold on October 04, 2021, 11:45:40 AM
I found this item amongst my late father-in-law's stuff.  It's about 6" square and looks like a guide or clamp of some sort.  I couldn't find any markings on it.  Any ideas welcome!

Thanks,
Harold

Maybe not a tool on its own? A part of another assembly? Wild guess, for splicing?

Part of a fancy camera tripod?

Thanks for your replies.  This is a tough one.  If anyone else has any other ideas please post them here.

Next guess , timing fixture to index on a machine or engine?
Or a piece of knurling equipment?

It looks like a mat cutter.  Needs a blade?

It looks similar to a tool grinding jig I've got up in the shed; but not quite identical.
