Title: Animal tools
Post by: skipskip on October 13, 2025, 08:12:24 PM
We have seen Lobster brand wrenches, but this is my first  rodent family tool.

Any other animal brand tools out there?

I had an Elephant brand adjustable.  I gave it to a friend from India.  I have a Swallow brand DBE wrench.  In Great Britain they had Snail Brand tools. Also in GB, Garrington named.their wrenches after birds. KESTREL, PUFFIN, ETC...

almost too many to name.

Garrington (England) made
Blackbird
Curlew
Grebe
Heron
Jackdaw
Jay
Kestrel
Lapwing
Magpie
Merlin
Puffin
Wren

Asian manufacturers seem to have an affinity for animal names: Lobster (excellent adjustables, BTW), Swallow, Crab

And let's not forget about our own U.S. made "Buffalo"

check my list for others

Don’t forget that Snap-on called their 3/8 drive tools “Ferret” for some reason.

Flying Swallow

I picked this up at an estate sale.  I liked the look and feel of the wrench.  Haven't seen another one since.
