I have recently acquired a number of antique Scottish auger bits, including many from D Galloway & Co. However, I am unable to find any information about them online. All I can find is that they produced planes. I will attach some images later. But, is anyone familiar with them producing auger bits? :embarrassed:
Try contacting Jack of Jack's Shed on YouTube. English chap, he may be able to help. I
Thanks, I will try to get in touch. From my understanding the flat one is a screwdriver bit. The bit on the top is not from Galloway, I am completely unsure of the company. Looks to say Callagan Unded
Taxidermyman . Looking at the 3rd photo ; You have 3 Center Bits , 1 Countersink , and the flat bit is most likely for Split Nuts on a Saw Handle . I also sent you a PM .
Yes thats what I think it is for too, those split nuts. I usually just use a normal screwdriver and struggle to get them off.
