Title: I called them "slugger wrenches" but I was wrong??

I bought 3 of them, wire tied together.
Ken Tool, 1 1/2 inches. Weight is about a pound each.
So, I went to the Ken Tool online catalog and found them on page 30.
They are called "Cap Nut Wrench", and used to take off the inside dually of truck tires, that 18 wheelers use.
The short video explained it all.

I guess I will keep one to use "If I ever need one".
Anything that big, I would use my 3/4 inch ratchet and socket, or an impact wrench.

I wonder what other application these wrenches could be used for?

Yeah, slugging wrenches have a large hammer face on them. The wheel cap wrenches are really designed to catch the rim and not spin, tho they seem to get hammered upon..

You will find that on some of the rim setups, you can't get a ratchet in there easily...

They are handy as backing wrenches to put on nuts when you are unscrewing the bolts, assuming you use nuts and bolts that large ; P

I have 2 photos that I apparently forgot to post. I'll wait and see if anyone wants to see them.
The Ken Tool website did not have any selling price on them, and am curious.

Called them Hammer wrenches in the refinery, dont let them catch you not using a Hammer wrench holder !

I'll bite. Whats a hammer wrench holder? Never heard of them. Seem quite a few hammer wrenches. Even have one somewhere.

Think of a strap wrench, it will put some distance between your hand and the wrench. If it is a good size nut and bolt ( common in a refinery ), the guy swinging the hammer is really putting some effort into it. So if he is getting tired after a hard days working in 90 degree weather, you might not want to have you hand close to the wrench.

The wrench weighs close to a pound.
The steel in it must be really hard for this application.
I'll keep one and sell the other two.
Price, I'll trade each for a USA made, working ratchet wrench, any size.
We each pay our own shipping cost.

Or will sell for 5 dollars each, plus shipping.

Thanks Rusty, for explaining so clearly, just what this type of wrench is.
