I think Action was a sub or side brand for Thorsen a long time ago. As for warranty, I don't know. I'm not even sure if tools are still being made with the Thorsen name. A lot of the more recent Thorsen tools are foriegn made, if not all. If they are still being made, it might be possible to find a sympathetic distributor, but it's a long shot. There may be someone here who knows more about the current status of the Thorsen name.

Action was the economy brand for Thorsen.  While those Action wrenches  I have are US made, Thorsen does not manufacture in the US nowadays so far as I know.   I picked up one recently for the humor factor, as it was stamped INDIA.

If I run across a 1/4 drive extension by action or Thorsen I'll let you know.  What length was the extension?

Do a google search for Thorsen Allied or TAT. Maybe they'll send you a replacement.

As stated above, Thorsen tools are no longer US made. I have some Thorsen, Thorsen - Allied or TAT made in Taiwan, Japan, and Korea.

Now, collecting on that warranty might be tough. I have contacted Thorsen in the past and my USA socket went in and a non-USA socket came back....not a squabble. Different height socket made today though. Such is life though....not even Cman tools are guaranteed to match what was forged back in the day.
