When I worked at the truck plant, working on spot welders,we would take a pair of 410 channel lock pliers and weld a hammer head on the back of one jaw, grind one handle into a straight blade screw driver and weld a phillips head tip of the other handle.
We used these to remove the welder tips with the pliers and then flip the pliers over and hammer the new welder tips on.

When I was service manager for a C&D battery distributor in the 70's, I spent a week or so in the GM plant in Janesville, Wis. Line down time was so expensive, $10,000 a minute, that maintenance had a crash drill sequence with a number for every line down condition. They built line down repair trucks on heavy duty one ton Cushman trucks. When the assembly line called in a '126', a specific crew jumped on the little trucks with sirens and red lights flashing and headed for the line knowing what they had to do when they got there and what parts were needed. The plant was a mile long and they really moved right along. The maintenance chief had a stop watch and there was hell to pay if this '126' took longer to fix than the last one. Sometimes it was comical because of the union divisions of jobs. An electrician unplugged it, a mechanic took it apart, a welder welded it, a steamfitter replumbed it and so on. Each one had his own crash cart and there was a great deal of excess labor on the scene. There were a lot of shop built tools on those trucks that were built because time was so expensive. Vise grips, C clamps and channel locks were the basis for most of them.

Nice comprehensive list Rusty. Looks like you put some time into it. I have one more; its a wrench with a saw blade. Don't know for sure that its patented believe it is but it is unmarked and I haven't found patent for it.
