This is a 1/2-9/16. My question is, is it a Sears Craftsman or does it predate Sears? Pitting ruined the part number.

I have an old C-man DBE looks like it got abandoned in a wet box. Still useable, just pitted.

I had a Craftsman double end adjustable wrench with this exact style lettering. It was recessed I stead of raised but still very similar. Definately Sears Craftsman.
Here's my adjustable.....

The 'chrome-vanadium' wrenches predate the 'Craftsman-Vanadium' wrenches, and are likely from the 30's...
One end probably had an ISN on it, prefixed with a C...
1/2x9/16 should be C-1725B
The other end should say CRAFTSMAN/MADE IN U.S.A.
(One of the few odd cases where craftsman appears twice on the wrench)

Diamond liked putting 'Tool Steel' on their double/single adjustables....

Thanks Rusty and thanks DW. It's a circa 1930 wrench.
Rusty, where did you find the part number?
Thanks again guys.
