Title: Simpson - Sears Socket set
Post by: eddie hudson on March 12, 2012, 10:02:10 AM
This does not look like 1952 to me.

Not to me either.

He's right about the 1952 date, but who knows what came in that box from the store. I doubt it was those tools!

What is/was Simpson?

A famous Canadian department store chain (now gone) that partnered with Sears, Roebuck to introduce Sears (under the Simpson-Sears brand) to Canada in 1952.

No bids yet, still plenty of time for LG to own a piece of Canadian history :)

LG is not even thinking about it!

Even if I believed the set was original & complete, I wouldn't really be interested (just not really my thing) and the "Simpson-Sears" label appeared on stuff sold in the US too...
