Title: millers Falls Drill # 4
Post by: rogerp01@aol.com on May 18, 2012, 03:21:08 PM
I have several #4 drills and some of them have a bar just below the knob in stead of the little flur de lis emblem on the handle.  Were they also made by millers Falls or by another Mfgr.  Thanks Roger

Welcome :)

A picture would help, there are an awfull lot of variations on those drills...

There is not only a #4, there is a #4D, a $ 1/2 ....

See if it matches anything here: http://oldtoolheaven.com/hand_drills/drill2.htm
Also the page after that....

Some of the Millers falls drills are actually Goodel-Pratt drills....

I have a eggbeater drill that is a duplicate to my Millers Falls no.4, same frame, with Sears-Roebuck on the crank arm.   Hard to confuse these due to the distinctive frame.
